Saudi Arabia approves use of Starlink for maritime, aviation purposes – Musk

Washington: Saudi Arabia has approved the use of Starlink satellite internet for maritime and aviation purposes, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said on Tuesday.

“I would also like to thank the Kingdom [of Saudi Arabia] for approving Starlink for maritime and aviation use,” Musk said at the Saudi-US Investment Forum held in Riyadh.

The US billionaire added that he also wants to introduce to the country Tesla robotaxis, the production of which will begin in 2026.

Starlink is a satellite network owned by Musk’s space company SpaceX, designed to provide broadband internet access anywhere on the planet.
