New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday refused to entertain a plea filed by Ashutosh Taploo, whose father Tika Lal Taploo was murdered in Jammu and Kashmir in 1990.

Ashutosh Taploo had moved the Supreme Court seeking a detailed and impartial probe into the exodus and brutal killings of that period.

A two-judge Bench headed by Justice B R Gavai refused to entertain the plea and granted Ashutosh Taploo the liberty to take recourse to appropriate remedies in law.

“We are not inclined. We have not entertained a similar petition in the past, we are very sorry,” the court said. The younger Taploo said his father was killed by the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front militants in 1990.
