Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday asked the police force to use innovative tools to counter disinformation and to deal with cross-border cyber threats.

Reviewing the Passing Out Parade of probationer DySPs at the Police Academy in Udhampur district, Sinha said, “Modern technology like AI tools has changed the security landscape.”

“J&K Police, working under extremely challenging circumstances, is playing a significant role in the country’s internal security, ensuring the integrity of the nation and safety of the citizens of Union Territory,” said the Lieutenant Governor.

Stating that challenges of disinformation and deep fakes remain major concerns, Sinha stated, “J&K Police must use the innovative tools to enhance its capabilities in countering disinformation and dealing with cross-border cyber threats.”

“My best wishes to all the police officers passing out today. I wish them victory in every mission,” he added.
