SL wants university on climate change

Colombo: Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe has proposed to establish an International University on Climate Change in his country with the support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Wickremesinghe made the proposal during a meeting with ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa at the ADB headquarters in Manila on Friday, The Island newspaper reported.

Wickremesinghe also expressed his gratitude to the ADB for the emergency assistance provided to Sri Lanka in the past and discussed the importance of further strengthening the relationship between Colombo and the ADB.
