Nagarkurnool (Telangana): Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will visit Nagarkurnool district on Monday to launch the ambitious “Indira Saura Giri Jal Vikasam” scheme, aimed at improving irrigation and water accessibility in tribal and remote areas through solar-powered solutions.
Official sources said the scheme will be officially inaugurated in the Macharam village of Amrabad Mandal. It has a total budget allocation of Rs 12,600 crore.
As part of the initiative, the state government will provide a 100 per cent subsidy of Rs 6 lakh per unit to eligible beneficiaries. During the launch event, the Chief Minister will distribute solar pump sets to farmers and other beneficiaries under the scheme.
Following the inauguration, CM Revanth Reddy will visit the historic Sitaramanjaneya temple and later address a public meeting, where he is expected to reiterate the government’s commitment to inclusive rural development.
Later in the day, the Chief Minister will proceed to his hometown, Kondareddypalle, where he will offer special pujas at the Anjaneya Swamy temple. He is scheduled to return to Hyderabad in the evening, the sources added.
