Washington: US billionaire Elon Musk has said that the senior team of the Tesla company is investigating the incident with the explosion of the Tesla Cybertruck in Las Vegas.
“The whole Tesla senior team is investigating this matter right now. Will post more information as soon as we learn anything. We’ve never seen anything like this,” Musk said on X.
Late on Wednesday, a Tesla Cybertruck exploded near the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Police Department said one person died and seven others were injured in the explosion, adding that an investigation was underway.
Later in the day, sources told ABC News that law enforcement officials were not ruling out the possibility of a terrorist attack.
The hotel is partially owned by US President-elect Donald Trump. The Cybertruck, on the other hand, is manufactured by Tesla, a company owned by billionaire and Trump supporter Elon Musk.
