As per Vivek, on Saturday, at 11.15 in the morning, 5 robbers arrived on 2 power-bikes and took hostage their worker, Om Prakash Gujjar. All the 5 had knives and one carried a pistol as well. One of the attacked Vivek with a knife on his head and asked for money. Vivek was also threatened of being shot.

Following which he informed the robbers about Rs. 14.48 lakhs kept in a bag and Rs. 1 lakh kept in his pocket. After this, the robbers tied Vivek’s hands with tape and a rope and ran away with the CCTV DVR. After two neighbours untied Vivek’s hands, the police were informed.

According to neighbour Mahesh Mittal, both Vivek and Om Prakash had come outside the showroom shivering, with tape on their mouths and hands tied with ropes, after which Mittal’s wife brought a knife and the ropes were then cut to set them free.
