UFBU calls two-day All India strike from Jan 30

Hyderabad: United Forum of Bank Unions’ (UFBU) on Thursday called a two-day Nation-wide strike from January 30 to press their demands.

UFBU has decided to go on strike at its meeting held in Mumbai today, All India Bank Employees’ Association (AIBEA) General Secretary Ch Venkatachalam told UNI.

He said that since there is no response from Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) on our demands despite letters, it has been decided to revive our agitation and to give a call for strike on January 30 and 31 on the demands like five-day banking, updation of pension, residual issues, scrap NPS, immediate starting of negotiation on charter of demands for wage revision and adequate recruitment in all cadres.
