Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to receive prestigious Lokmanya Tilak Award on August 1

Pune: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, has been selected for this year’s Lokmanya Tilak Award, presented annually by the Lokmanya Tilak Smarak Trust.

The announcement was made by Trust President Rohit Tilak during a press conference here today.

The award ceremony will take place on August one to commemorate the death anniversary of Lokmanya Tilak.

The event will witness the presence of several prominent leaders, including Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, and former Union minister Sushilkumar Shinde.

The award consists of a memento, a citation and a cash prize of Rs one lakh.
