Bern: The 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum will open in Davos, Switzerland on Monday.
The forum under the slogan “Rebuilding Trust” is scheduled to take place from January 15-19 and will focus on the principles of transparency, consistency and accountability. The agenda of the forum is expected to include food security, energy, the worsening climate crisis, inflation, current geopolitical risks for the world economy and artificial intelligence.
Representatives of over 100 governments, major international organizations, as well as civil society leaders, social entrepreneurs, youth representatives, experts, and media outlets are expected to attend the forum, its organizers have said.
Leaders of Argentina, France, Greece, Iraq, Jordan, Qatar, Spain, Ukraine and Vietnam are expected to address the forum, as well as Chinese Premier Li Qiang, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
