Yogi announces Rs 5 lakh aid each to kin of Nepal crash victims

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a financial assistance of Rs five lakh each to the kin of four persons from Ghazipur district, who died in a plane crash in Nepal on Sunday, an official spokesman said here on Wednesday.

The spokesman said, “CM Yogi Adityanath has announced to provide a financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the family members of the victims from the Ghazipur district in the plane crash incident in Nepal a couple of days back.”

The CM has said the state government will bear the expenses incurred on bringing the mortal remains of the deceased. It may be noted that 72 passengers on board the Yeti Airlines flight were killed when the ill-fated plane crashed in Pokhara region of Nepal on Sunday.

Four friends from Ghazipur identified as Vishal Sharma, Sonu Jaiswal, Anil Rajbhar and Abhishek Kushwaha were killed in the crash. Reports said they went to Nepal on January 13. A video purportedly shot by Sonu just before the crash went viral on social media.
