Provide prompt services to devotees during Nathshasti : Bhumre

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: District guardian minister Sandipan Bhumre appealed to all the concern departments to work in coordination to provide prompt service to the devotees during the Nathshasti festival at holy town of Paithan in the district.

Nathshasti festival falls every year on sixth day of Phalgun month as per lunar calendar and March 13 as per the Gregorian calendar.

Bhumre was speaking at a review meeting about the progress of work of various departments regarding the Nathshashti Yatra festival being celebrated at Paithan which was attended by the top brass of all concerned departments.

He said that around 15 lakhs devotees from across from the state are expected to come for the Nathshasti festival.

He also said that he will invite Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for the government Pooja of Saint Eknath Maharaj’s Nathshashti ceremony like Pandharpur.

Bhumre said that in view of the number of devotees arriving for the festival, an alternative place should be found for constructing a temporary bus stand in the city, health facilities should be kept ready and a strict security system should be kept for the devotees, the relevant agencies should plan now so that the devotees do not run out of drinking water, funds for the beautification of the city should be provided through the District Planning Committee.

In this meeting, MSRTC transport facility, health department pre-preparation, water released from Jayakwadi dam to River Godavari during Nathshashti, cleaning of Godavari desert, BSNL telecommunication service, municipal water supply system, convenience facilities for devotees from Nath Mandir Trust, police arrangement, life authority.

A review was made regarding the works to be done, provision of physical facilities such as electrification and decoration system in Paithan city.
