More than 2.99 crore registrations for Rajasthan government’s Mehangai Rahat Camp completed

Till the evening of Thursday, June 8, more than 2.99 crore of people have registered for the various schemes which are being covered by the government of Rajasthan under the new initiative of the Mehangai Rahat Camps, which were commenced on April 24, 2023 and will continue to June 30, 2023. The camps have been opened by the Rajasthan government to provide people relief from inflation and unemployment, with the benefits of various welfare schemes of the state government reaching the beneficiaries.

Till Thursday evening, more than 50.51 lakh registrations have been made for the Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme; more than 84.08 lakh registrations have been made for the Free Domestic Electricity Scheme; more than 9.96 lakh registrations have been made for the Free Agriculture Electricity Scheme; more than 94.51 lakh registrations have been made for the Free Annapurna Food Packet; and more than 60.07 lakh registrations have been made for the Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.

The Mehangai Rahat Camps cover a number of welfare schemes introduced by the Rajasthan state government, which include, the Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme, which provides gas cylinders for 500 Rs; the Chief Minister Free Electricity Scheme, which provides up to 100 units of free domestic electricity per month; the Chief Minister Free Agriculture Electricity Scheme, which provides up to 2000 units of free electricity to farmers per month.

Further, the Chief Minister Free Annapurna Food Packet Scheme, which provides free food packets each month with the ration; the Chief Minister Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, which provides 25 additional days of employment on completion of 100 days of work under MNREGA, and 100 additional employment days for the Kathodi and Sehariya tribes, and the ‘Vishesh Yogyajans’.

More schemes which are covered are the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme, which provides 125 days of employment in a year; the Social Security Pension Scheme, which offers minimum 1000 Rs each month and an annual interest of 15 percent; the Chief Minister Kamdhenu Animal Insurance Scheme, which offers a 40, 000 Rs insurance for 2 milch cattle each; the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Accident Insurance Scheme, which now provides an increased insurance amount of 10 lakh Rs from 5 lakh Rs as accident insurance; and the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme, which offers an increased health insurance cover of 25 lakh Rs from 10 lakh Rs.
