New Delhi: BJP president JP Nadda on Friday slammed Congress for doing appeasement politics and alleged that they wanted to snatch the rights of SC, ST and OBC people and give them to Muslims.

In a video message, the party’s President Nadda said, “This is their hidden agenda. Appeasement is clearly visible in the manifesto of Congress as well.”

BJP President made these remarks as voting for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections is underway in 88 parliamentary constituencies across 12 states and one union territory, Jammu and Kashmir.

JP Nadda said, “Congress says that the first right to the resources of the country is that of Muslims. Whereas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi says that the first right to resources in the country is that of the poor.”

The BJP President said former PM Manmohan Singh deliberately made the statement in 2009 that minorities, especially Muslims, should be given priority and the first right to resources in the country should be theirs.”

“Congress was already creating a base to declare Muslims SC and provide facilities of SC reservations to them… Congress hates SC, ST, and OBC because the majority of the population in the country comprises them, and this is the Congress party’s manifesto,” he further added.

Earlier, PM Modi said the Congress tried to extend reservations on the basis of religion and give them to Muslims.

Addressing an election rally in Tonk, he alleged that as soon as the Congress formed the government at the Centre in 2004, one of its first tasks was reducing the SC/ST reservation in Andhra Pradesh” and giving it to Muslims.
