Telangana Young India Sports University to come up in 200 acres

Hyderabad: After setting up Skill University in the state, the Congress government in the state has now will pay special focus on the establishment of the Young India Sports University, which is coming up on a sprawling area of around 200 acres.

The sports university will provide training to the enthusiastic athletes with an aim to win gold medals for the country in the 2028 Olympics, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said in a meeting with the Telangana Young India Skill University Board along with the representatives of industries and companies from various sectors.

The Chief Minister urged the industrialists to take part in the development of the sports university also.

The CM assured that there is no dearth of funds and the government is ready to spend Rs 1000 crore, out of Rs 3 lakh crore state annual budget, to promote sports.

The chief minister asserted that financial assistance is not more important.

The CM appealed to the industrialists and business honchos to extend their cooperation, join as partners, and take the reasonability for the establishment of the sports university.
