Jerusalem: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it had struck a number of Lebanese movement Hezbollah’s military targets, as well as routes along the Syrian-Lebanese border allegedly used to smuggle weapons to Hezbollah.

Earlier, Lebanese news agency NNA reported that Israeli Air Force aircraft had carried out several strikes in southern Lebanon.

“Over the past hours, the IDF conducted intelligence-based strikes on a number of Hezbollah terror targets in Lebanon,” the army said on Telegram. “Among the targets struck were a rocket launcher site, a military site, and routes along the Syria-Lebanon border used to smuggle weapons to Hezbollah.”

On the night of November 27, after nearly 14 months of continuous escalation, a ceasefire agreed upon in accordance with the US settlement plan came into effect between Israel and Lebanon. Despite the agreements reached, the Israeli army continues to violate the terms of the agreement on a daily basis, entering Lebanese airspace, striking individual targets in the south of the country, conducting aerial reconnaissance over major cities, including Beirut, and raids in Lebanese border settlements.
