Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Saturday chaired a high-level meeting to review security and logistical preparations for the smooth conduct of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2025 – NEET (UG) scheduled for Sunday in two districts of the state.

Besides chief secretary JK Sinha, DGP (Intelligence) Anurag, special secretary, Education Department Ravel Hemendra Kumar, and home secretary Apurba Roy attended the meeting where the Chief Minister directed full-proof security at exam venues, no compromise in the identification of candidates, and advance surveillance on the preparations, including invigilators and staff.

The CM said the key discussions focused on maintaining strict security protocols and ensuring efficient logistical support on the day of the exam and surveillance on the situation ahead of the exam. District magistrates and superintendents of police in all the districts have already assessed the situation at the respective exam centers to prevent any irregularities.

“In the last two-three years allegation of impersonating the candidates, circulation of question papers in advance among the candidates and adoption of several unfair means were raised from different parts of the country. The attempt is made to ensure free and fair entrance test,” said an official of the state home department.

According to the Higher Education Department, 4,892 candidates from Tripura will be appearing for the NEET (UG) 2025 examination across 10 centers in West Tripura and one in Dhalai district.
