Adani Group to provide education to children who lost parents in Balasore train crash

On Sunday, June 4, Gautam Adani, Founder and Chairman, Adani Group, offered to provide free education to all those children who lost their parents in the train accident involving a goods train, the Yashwantpur-Howrah Express, and the Chennai Coromandel Express, which took place in the evening on June 2. Taking to social media platform Twitter, Adani said, “Each one of us is really distressed with the rail accident which took place in Odisha”.

“We have decided that the innocents who have lost their parents in this tragedy, the responsibility of their school education will be taken by the Adani Group”, announced Adani. He further expressed, “It is our collective responsibility to make sure that the victims and their relatives have backing, and the children have a better tomorrow”.

Till now, the number of deaths in this accident have gone up to 275, and the total number of injured people who were sent to different hospitals is 1175.

In the meanwhile, the restoration work is going on in full swing, and Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that the Railway Board has recommended a CBI inquiry into the matter for further investigation.
