Girls not safe anywhere, not even in Mosque!

It bleeds one’s heart sighting the little girls suffer from so much pain just because few perverts of the society put their materialistic needs on the top and end up doing worst deeds as human.

The incident came into the light of a 48-year-old cleric (maulvi) Iliyas raping a 12-year-old minor girl inside the mosque premises in the northeast region of Delhi’s Harsh Vihar.

The incident happened when the minor went to fetch water from the mosque late at night on May 30. Due to a lack of drinking water at home, the family asked the girl to fetch the water from the mosque nearby.

When the minor girl went inside to get the water, the maulvi of the mosque stopped her, forced himself on her, and sexually abused the girl. The girl then went home and described the incident to the family after which the family, along with few neighbours went to the mosque and crowded the place to confront the cleric, but was unable to do that as the accused successfully escaped from the spot through a rare door, as noted by the officials. An FIR was lodged by the family in the nearby police station and the investigation was then taken at hand.

The incident took place on Sunday, May 30 around 10 pm and the complaint was filed then after. The Delhi police then arrested the accused through technical surveillance on Monday, May 31st from the Loni region of Ghaziabad.

“We registered an FIR after receiving a complaint and arrested the accused. Further investigation is in progress and we aim to file a charge sheet soon for speedy justice” asserted a senior police official. The accused then was presented before the court and was remanded 14 days judicial custody by the court.

A case of sexual abuse was marked on the accused under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The police added that a troop of policemen was deployed near the mosque to avoid crowd gatherings and control the situation.

The girl after the incident underwent a thorough medical examination and was even counselled.

The same incident was marked in April this year when a 14-year-old girl was sexually harassed by a Muslim cleric Zafru inside a mosque in Alwar, Rajasthan. The girl after rape was pushed into a well by the accused, as the family came to the spot searching for the girl. The minor was rescued then after.

The maulana after pushing the girl fled away with the family but was soon arrested by the Rajasthan police officials.

It bleeds my heart to notice the fact that the pious land of Ma Bharati has to witness such events where her own daughters are not safe. It is much needed to impose fear of the lawsuit in the minds of perverts like these to escort daughters of Bharat Mata from such scoundrels.
