The Goa Institute of Management (GIM) successfully concluded its flagship two-day Music and Food Festival, INCEPTION 2026, on the 13th and 14th of February 2026. The
event witnessed the active participation of students, faculty members, and guests in a
kaleidoscope of music, dance, theatre, and fashion, reiterating GIM’s focus on fostering artistic talent alongside academic success.
Day 1 kicked off with Just Du-et, the solo and duo dance competition, where artists showcased their creativity, coordination, and emotive storytelling abilities through dance. This was followed by Feet on Fire, the group dance performance, which left the audience mesmerised with its dynamic choreography and perfect synchronisation.
The day progressed with a live performance by B.Y.O.B. Band, whose interactive musical
performance and stage presence electrified the Amphitheatre and transported the audience into a musical concert experience. The day ended with Mahabharat, a theatrical show by the Theatre Group of GIM, Aarambh, that offered a modern take on the age-old epic and received immense appreciation for its storytelling and performances.
Day 2 began with Melody & Muse, the festival’s unique music competition, showcasing the best of vocal and instrumental talent among the participants. The festivities continued with Melange 3.0, GIM’s flagship fashion event, which combined creativity, design, and performance in a visually engaging show.
A special activity, Nritya – One Last Dance, added an emotional depth to the festival, marking a warm send-off for the graduating batch. The participants were then treated to an energetic performance by Snehi Gundev, whose stage presence set the tone for the festival’s grand finale.
The festival concluded with a spectacular performance by popular singer Shahid Mallya, whose powerful vocals and diverse style electrified the audience, leaving them spellbound and marking a memorable end to the two-day festival.
INCEPTION 2026 was supported by a prestigious partner network. The festival was proudly
powered by Kajaria – India’s No. 1 Tile Company (Title Sponsor) with Associate Partners
AD Enterprises, CAS ANT Events, and HPCL. The festival infrastructure was further
enhanced by Maheshwari Steels, while the experience was designed in collaboration with
Tribevibe (Festival Partner), and talent was supported by Manikarnika Events (Talent
Partner).
Operational support was ensured by ADL Coordinates (Safety & Compliance) and Delhivery (Logistics Partner), with The New India Assurance Company Limited securing the
celebrations. The festival was further supported by Canara Bank (Banking Partner), while
Eichbaum (Beer Partner) and Cornitos (Official Snacking Partner) furthered the overall
attendee experience.
Gifting partners Big Banyan Wines, Tonia Group, Ereganto, Tipsy Bomb, Jeonju Soju, and
Pintola brought unique experiences to the festival, while food partners Tasty Trucker, Mercely’s Ice Cream, Cheezy Bites, Korea Goa, The Waffle Art, Burgers & More, Desserts
& More, and Suzan Caterers offered a diverse dining experience to the attendees.
Media outreach was further strengthened by Fashion Herald, Goa Chronicle, The EduGraph,
and Education Tree at Campus, thereby expanding the festival’s reach beyond the GIM
community.
The success of the festival was further ensured by the dedication and hard work of the student volunteers, whose passion and efforts brought INCEPTION 2026 to life.
Organised by Inception – The Performing Arts Society of GIM, the festival thus again became the backbone of student engagement, successfully merging the old with the new.
With active participation, varied performances, and a collaborative spirit, INCEPTION 2026
thus came to a close as a memorable event of creativity, community, and cultural excellence.
