New Delhi: Kamal Haasan and Sivakarthikeyan are teaming up once again for a new film titled ‘Seyon’, following the blockbuster success of their 2024 release ‘Amaran’. The project was formally announced on Monday, just a day before Sivakarthikeyan’s birthday, with the first-look poster revealed by the producer-actor himself.

‘Seyon’ marks the second collaboration between Sivakarthikeyan and Kamal Haasan’s production house, Raaj Kamal Films International. Their previous venture, Amaran, proved to be a major milestone, setting high expectations for this new project.

The film is directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, known for his upcoming project Thaai Kizhavi. The title ‘Seyon’, along with the imagery in the first-look poster featuring peacocks and a sickle, symbolically references Lord Murugan, a revered figure in Tamil tradition.

The poster introduces Sivakarthikeyan in a rugged, rustic avatar, a striking departure from his recent appearance in ‘Amaran’. Music will be composed by Santhosh Narayanan, while cinematography is handled by Vivek Vijaykumar. The makers are targeting a theatrical release later in 2026.

In addition to the announcement, the team revealed plans for a special “Seyon Celebration” event on Tuesday at 10 am, during which a teaser or glimpse video is expected to be unveiled, offering audiences their first look at the film.

With its mythological undertones and the powerhouse combination of Kamal Haasan and Sivakarthikeyan, ‘Seyon’ is already generating significant buzz among fans
