New Delhi: After three years of eager anticipation, Shahid Kapoor has officially confirmed that ‘Farzi Season 2’ is underway. The actor shared the exciting news on Tuesday via his social media, delighting fans.

Posting on Instagram Stories, Shahid uploaded a picture with Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, the acclaimed filmmaker duo Raj & DK, who created, produced, and directed the series. Alongside the image, he wrote, “The fakers are back at it,” confirming that work on the new season has begun.

Raj & DK also hinted at the show’s return on their Instagram account. Sharing a photo of stacked currency notes, they captioned it, “Round 2 in progress,” signaling the comeback of the hit series.

Earlier, Shahid had spoken about the timeline for the second season, explaining that such large-scale productions take time. He mentioned that after filming wraps, nearly a year is spent in post-production, including dubbing the show in 35–40 languages before releasing it across 200 countries.

According to him, fans can expect at least a year and a half to two years before Season 2 premieres.

‘Farzi’ boasts a strong ensemble cast featuring Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Raashii Khanna, Kay Kay Menon, Bhuvan Arora, Regina Cassandra, and Amol Palekar in key roles.

The series follows Sunny (played by Shahid), a small-time con artist who gets pulled deeper into the world of counterfeiting as he attempts to create the perfect scam. Standing in his way is a determined and unconventional task force officer (played by Vijay Sethupathi), who is committed to eliminating the threat Sunny poses to the nation.
