New Delhi: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has demanded restoration of a democratic process in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and installation of a representative government in Office.

NCP State Coordinator Rakesh Sapru on Thursday in a statement said “The current bureaucratic administration has failed the people of J&K on all fronts”.

“From Rajouri to Uri the entire UT is under a fear of psychosis. Civil administration is a failure and people have nowhere to go. UT administration unable to resolve the issue of Kashmiri Pandits engaged under the PM Relief Package.”

“Other communities across the region are also at the receiving end as the cycle of violence in J&K continues” he alleged.

Sapru has stated that there is a need for an elected government which can understand the difficulties of people.

“The assembled outsider bureaucratic administration under the direction of LG has failed to understand the concerns of people. A government elected by the people is the need of the day.”

Rakesh Sapru also urged the Centre to hold Assembly Elections at the earliest, so people can have a representative government in places which are sympathetic to the needs of the people of J&K.
