On Sunday evening, Union Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw said, “Tomorrow morning, the honourable Prime Minister and the Honourable Chief Minister will flag off North East India’s first Vande Bharat, from here, Guwahati”.

“It is a matter of elation, and I pray to Maa Kamakhya that the railways get highly developed in the northeastern part of India”, added Vaishnaw. The Union Minister also added that he will also review the project of turning the Guwahati railway station into a world class one. He further said that a total of 59 stations all across the northeast are to be made world-class, and projects worth a total of 70, 000 crore Rupees are to be introduced in the northeast.
