London: Nigel Farage, the leader of the pro-Brexit Reform UK party, has been elected to the parliament of the United Kingdom in an eighth attempt, UK broadcaster Sky News reported on Friday.

The 60-year-old politician had previously tried to be elected to the House of Commons seven times, and it is the first time he has been successful.

The Reform UK right-wing populist party, which was founded in 2018 as the Brexit Party, is reportedly set to win 13 seats in the UK House of Commons. The party previously had no representation in parliament.
