Russian NSC Chief exposes TNCs and NGOs employed to control governments in the US-led ‘Golden Billion’

Recently, Russian National Security Council (NSC) Secretary Nikolay Patrushev gave an in-depth interview with the Russian publication ‘Argumenty i Fakty’, where he explored the ongoing global systemic shift towards what he calls ‘multiplexity’. The interview was primarily a critique of the West, its policies, and its perceived control by non-state actors like transnational corporations (TNCs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

Patrushev began by acknowledging the multiple crises—military, political, economic, social, and spiritual—that are currently unfolding in many countries. He asserted that these crises are exacerbated by the shadowy networks of influence exerted by TNCs and NGOs, such as those associated with George Soros, which he claims control governments in what he refers to as the “US-led West’s Golden Billion”—a term he uses to describe the wealthiest billion people in the world, primarily in Western nations.

He argued that these entities have so much power that they effectively dictate policies in the West, leading to a lack of practical sovereignty among its states. Patrushev went as far as to claim that these powerful entities have even been involved in the assassinations of four American presidents, underscoring their pervasive influence.

Patrushev singled out the military-industrial complex (MIC) as one of the most influential forces behind the U.S. and its allies’ global aggression. He linked this complex to NATO and the Asia-Pacific alliance AUKUS, accusing them of scheming across Eurasia. He also predicted that the Western bloc, despite its burgeoning debt, has no intention of repaying it. Instead, he believes that these TNCs will continue to exploit other countries economically, while NGOs work to manipulate public perception.

The NSC chief expressed skepticism about the effectiveness of any Western legislation in ending what he sees as rampant economic exploitation and ideological manipulation. He argued that the agents of influence are deeply embedded within national institutions, making meaningful reform impossible. Patrushev also criticized the loyalty of the transnational elite, whom he believes have no allegiance to any state, further undermining national sovereignty.

Patrushev stated that Russia is targeted by these Western powers because of its natural resources, political will, spiritual strength, and genuine sovereignty, which enable it to resist these influences and support its partners in doing the same. He described the ongoing conflict with the West as a “Hybrid War,” aimed at breaking up Russia into smaller, more manageable states—a process he termed “Balkanization.”

Regarding the Ukraine conflict, Patrushev was clear that Russia’s issue is not with the Ukrainian people but with the Ukrainian state, which he claims is a proxy for NATO, particularly the Anglo-American axis. He hopes that the Ukrainian people will eventually realize they are being exploited and will act to end this proxy war. He also drew parallels to how the West abandoned its allies in Afghanistan, suggesting that Ukraine might face a similar fate.

Patrushev accused the U.S. of creating terrorist organizations like Al Qaeda, the Taliban, and ISIS. He claimed that the U.S. was never sincere in its fight against these groups, suggesting that its true motives were money laundering and controlling the global narcotics trade. The withdrawal from Afghanistan, he argued, was a strategic decision to refocus efforts on weaponizing Ukraine against Russia.

Patrushev expressed skepticism that the Western bloc’s puppets would ever be brought to justice, citing historical examples such as the U.S. co-opting Nazis after World War II to support its intelligence agencies and military-industrial complex. He likened modern Western leaders to the spiritual successors of Nazis, critiquing their measures to control populations, such as assessing individuals based on their carbon footprint, which he compared to pseudo-scientific racial theories.

Despite his critical view of the West, Patrushev remains optimistic about the future, believing that most of humanity opposes what he describes as the West’s inhumane agenda. He praised Russia’s approach of economic-financial sovereignty and investments oriented toward national interests, which protect it from the influence of TNCs and NGOs. He also called for reviving the Soviet-era celebration of scientists, engineers, and workers to inspire the next generation to serve their country.
