Venezuela detains another two Americans, one Czech for planning murders: Minister

Caracas: Another two US citizens and one Czech citizen were detained in Venezuela on suspicion of planning to deliver a group of mercenaries from France and Eastern Europe to the country to eliminate the Venezuelan top political leadership, Venezuelan Vice President and Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello said on Sunday.

“We have another [US] citizen, one from the Czech Republic, and another US citizen,” Cabello told Telesur.

On Saturday, Cabello said that two Spanish citizens and one US citizen had detained on suspicion of planning to murder the mayor of the city of Upata.

The detainees were also suspected of planning, in coordination with the US and Spanish intelligence services, to deliver a group of mercenaries from France and Eastern Europe to Venezuela to assassinate top political figures.
