Woman Found Tied Inside Plastic Bag in Rajouri, Critical

Rajouri: A 45-year-old woman, identified as Azeem Akhtar, was found tied with a rope and stuffed inside a plastic bag in Rajouri district late Sunday, police officials said.

According to the police, local residents spotted the plastic bag lying in an isolated area of Tandwal village and immediately alerted the authorities. On reaching the spot, police rescued the woman and rushed her to Government Medical College (GMC), Hospital for treatment.

Doctors at the hospital said the woman is in a serious condition and is currently undergoing treatment. Police officials stated that her statement will be recorded once her health condition stabilises.

An investigation has been launched to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident and to identify those involved. Police said all angles are being examined and further details will be shared as the probe progresses.
