Telangana’s Robotic policy by Dec this year; Robotic expo from Oct

Hyderabad: Telangana government will bring a policy on ‘ Robotics’ by December this year.

This was announced while releasing a brochure on ‘Arena Invasion League Robot War and Robotic Expo ‘ by Ms Rama Devi Lanka, Director of Emerging Technologies, Telangana government here recently.

Robotic Expo and an Arena Invasion Leagues Bot War are scheduled to be held by the V Dream Business Technologies from October 28 to 30, at the Hitex Exhibition Centre here, to be participated by engineering college students.

The League will involve teams of students from engineering colleges, operating self-constructed, remote controlled robots in an arena made of steel and bullet proof glass.

Speaking on the occasion,PSV Kisshhan, Founder and Chairman, All India Robotics Association (AIRA), Hyderabad based not for profit trade body of Robotic enterprises, said this policy will enhance the Robotic companies.

He said the association is on a mission in making India the largest Robotics and Drones Hub in the world.

Taking Robotics to the grass root level and integrating it into every sector is our objective, said Kisshhan. In the past, we had only 350 Startups in the Robotics vertical but now, we have 3700, he said.

He announced that the association will grant Rs 5 lakhs to the winners in the Robotic competition participated by students from various engineering colleges.

Expected to participate around 10,000 students in the 3-day event and also a huge number of robotic companies in the expo, said event organizer and AI scientist Dr K George Abraham.
