This time, in the USA, the threat of infectious diseases has increased even before the winter season has begun. The cases of Respiratory Syncytial virus (RSV) and the associated respiratory infections, which usually come up from mid-December to February, have already increased, the symptoms of which are fever, cold, and cough.

As per the University of Michigan, this virus can prove to be the most dangerous for new-born infants and babies up to 3 years of age, because children above the age of 3 have faced the COVID-19 pandemic, but children below the age of 3 have not received such an exposure, and they have not developed the immunity to fight such infections.

On the other hand, the cases of flu are increasing in the USA as well. Many flu cases have been reported among people who have already suffered from long COVID.

In the meanwhile, the COVID-19 cases in the USA reduced by 32% in a week. On 30th October, 4, 480 new COVID-19 cases had been reported in the country, and the number of deaths during the last week have come down by 32% as well, and a new wave of booster doses being administered is going on in the country.
