Per capita GST collection highest in Haryana among 10 big states

The last month, which was full of festivities proved to be excellent in terms of GST collection in the country. The GST collection in the month of October reached 1.52 lakh crore rupees, and as per a latest analysis of the 10 big states comprising 58% of the country’s population, Haryana topped the list with a per capita GST collection of rupees 3028. On the second spot was Maharashtra with 2051 rupees, followed by Gujarat with 1568 rupees. At the last spot in this list is Bihar with 129 rupees.

A total of 63 thousand crore rupees GST collection has been made from these 10 states. Among the top 5 states as far as GST collection is concerned, the largest leap was seen in Karnataka with a 33% hike, followed by Tamil Nadu’s 25%. According to the Finance Ministry, the GST collection in the month of October 2022 was 1, 51, 718 crore rupees, out of which the share of central GST was 26, 039 crore rupees, that of state GST was 33, 396 crore rupees, and that of integrated GST was 81, 778 crore rupees.

Further, experts are anticipating that in the month of November as well, the GST collection will be good.
