The protestors raising their voices against the COVID-19 policies in China have bagged a major victory, and because of the demonstrations, the Chinese government was forced to make amendments to its zero COVID policy, and the government has now reduced restrictions which were earlier imposed to curb the COVID-19 infection spread.

As per the changes, the people who have been fully infected with the virus will be able to get quarantined in their own homes rather than in hospitals or facilities selected by the government. In schools where nobody is infected, classes could be resumed. With the relaxations in the policy, people travelling to any part of China will not require a COVID test anymore.

Chinese officers have said that work in factories will not be stopped until a region is found out to be highly dangerous, and a COVID negative report will not be required now in places other than retirement homes, schools, and clinics.

Even though relaxations have been made in China’s COVID restrictions, the dissatisfaction among people has not come to an end, and anger among them has become deep-seated, and therefore, the threat of protest demonstrations is still high.
