Taking little stress related to the daily life and its rush has indeed proven to be good-natured, as it keeps the brain young and also helps in spending your old-age in a better manner. This revelation has been made by a recent study. Prior to this, in the decade of 1990, this type of stress was considered to be bad for health, but now, for the first time, an American psychologist, Firdaus Dabhar, researched on this topic with a researcher from New York’s Rockefeller University.

Taking small stress impacts our immune system positively, and for the modern world, such small stress is extremely important. For instance, an athlete should feel a little stressed about his next run. This helps in strengthening the heart and muscles, and improves performance. With little mental and physical stress, an enzyme called interleukin is formed, which activates the immune system, and helps in fighting diseases.

It has also been found out that the size of the brain decreases at the pace of around 5% during every decade after the age of 40, and the decrease rate increases after 70. This size reduction of the brain reduces by 4 years among senior citizens who exercise regularly.
