On Republic Day, the indigenous combat helicopter ‘Prachanda’, deployed in Jodhpur of Rajasthan state, will lead five helicopters in the fly-past on Delhi’s Kartavyapath. During this, aero-formations will be formed with Apache and Dhruv helicopters. The indigenous AWAKS Netra formation will be a special sight, under which 4 Rafales from Jodhpur will take flight along with the indigenous AWAKS, and will form an arrow for 20 seconds, and will fly from above the Kartavyapath at an altitude of 1000 feet.

At the same time, 3 Sukhoi 30MKIs will reach Kartavyapath from Jodhpur, and will disperse after a trident formation. The end of the fly-past will be marked by Vijay. This time, the number of aircrafts has been reduced from 75 to 45 for the fly-past. The navy’s Ilyushin 38 aircraft will take part for the first time, and most probably the last time as well.
