Sisodia’s judicial custody extended till May 1 in ED case

New Delhi: The judicial custody of senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia has been extended till May 1.

Sisodia is currently lodged in Tihar Jail following separate arrests by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with alleged irregularities in the Delhi Liquor Policy-2021-22.

A special court passed an order to extend judicial custody of Sisodia in the money laundering case registered by the ED.

The special court had earlier on April 5 extended the judicial custody of accused Sisodia till April 17 on the request of the ED.

Earlier, on April 3, this court had ordered the accused leader to be sent to judicial custody on April 17 in the case registered by the CBI.

The special court had on March 31 rejected Sisodia’s bail plea in the FIR lodged by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with alleged irregularities in the excise policy.
