Kolkata: Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly on Thursday said he would lead a legislative party delegation to Governor C V Ananda Bose to submit a memorandum against the alleged devious attempt made by the state government to distort our history, which led to the formation of West Bengal on June 20, 1947.

” I along with approximately 60 BJP MLAs, would march on to the Raj Bhawan at around 3 pm from the Vidhan Sabha in order to submit a memorandum to the Governor at 3.30 pm, against the devious attempt made by the State Govt to distort our history by refusing to recognise the historical events which led to the formation of the State of West Bengal on the 20th of June, 1947,” the Nandigram legislator said on his x post.

He said Bharatiya Janata Party will vehemently oppose the state government’s ill-willed motive to erase the contribution of Bharat Kesari Syama Prasad Mookerjee and disregard the historical facts that necessitated the formation of the State of West Bengal in order to create a homeland for the Bengali Hindus,” Adhikari concluded.
