Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called an emergency meeting of the National Security Committee on Wednesday morning, in the aftermath of India striking terror camps in Pakistan and POK.

The emergency meeting of the National Security Committee has been called at 10am on Wednesday, Information Minister Atta Tarar said.

The heads of the armed forces will participate in the meeting of the National Security Committee, which will discuss the country’s security situation, the Indian cross-border strikes, and Pakistan’s response.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that India had carried out “a cowardly attack” on five places in Pakistan.

Two civilians were killed in the Indian attack.

Sharif, while issuing a statement on social media, said that Pakistan has every right to respond forcefully to this act of war imposed by India, and a forceful response is being given.
