Chandigarh, Amritsar airports closed

Chandigarh: Following escalation in tensions between Pakistan and India after Operation Sindoor, Amritsar and Chandigarh airports have been shut down, sources said.

An official at Amritsar’s Sri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport told media that after receiving directions from New Delhi, all flights at the airport were cancelled and the airport was shut down until further orders.

Sources said that Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, Chandigarh has been shut down until

May 10 and all flights have been suspended.

Travellers have been advised to contact their airlines.
