Washington DC: The government of the United States of America is taking a cue from India’s decision to ban 59 China Apps and is considering a ban on Chinese apps.
Speaking to Fox News, US Secretary of State, stated, “The US is considering a ban on Chinese social media apps like the popular video-sharing platform TikTok.”
“We are taking this very seriously. We are certainly looking at it,” Pompeo said. “With respect to Chinese apps on peoples’ cellphones, the United States will get this one right too.”
Last week India took an assertive decision to ban 59-Chinese Apps. The Chinese apps banned in India:
