Guwahati: Union Minister and senior BJP leader Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday alleged that the “misrule” of the Congress has led to “corruption” in government job selection across the country.
“Congress misrule led to corruption in govt job selection, impacting transparency and efficiency”,
Sonowal, the Minister for Ayush, said at a programme here.
The former Assam Chief Minister was speaking after distributing 192 appointment letters to the newly inducted recruits at Guwahati Medical College hospital auditorium under the Rozar Mela scheme.
Sonowal, who also holds the portfolios of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed about 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits via video conferencing during the day.
The recruits, selected from across the country, will be joining the various government ministries and departments including the Department of Posts, the Indian Audit & Accounts Department, the Department of Atomic Energy, the Department of Revenue, the Department of Higher Education, the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare among others. The Rozgar Mela is taking place at 46 locations across the country.
He congratulated those who received their appointment letters during the day, saying “it is a special day for everyone who received their appointment letters”.
He urged those who have received the appointment letters to serve the nation with dedication.
Praising Modi, Sonowal said he has created a strong and inclusive India, and served the nation with honesty and integrity for the last nine years. “Because of this, today India is included in the list of powerful countries of the world. Today, India has become one of the most looked at nations in the world,” he remarked.
