Galaxy of celebrities reach Ayodhya ahead of consecration of Ram Lalla

Ayodhya: A Galaxy of eminent personalities and celebrities, including former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, Amitabh Bachchan and Rajnikant have reached Ayodhya to attend the Ram temple consecration ceremony here on Monday.

Former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble also arrived at the Ram temple and said, “It is my first visit to Ayodhya and looking for divine blessings”.

Industrialist Anil Ambani also reached the temple.

Actors Madhuri Dixit Nene, Vicky Kaushal and his wife Katrina Kaif, Ayushmann Khurrana, Ranbir Kapoor and his wife Alia Bhatt and filmmakers Rajkumar Hirani, Mahaveer Jain and Rohit Shetty reached Ayodhya to attend the consecration ceremony.

Baba Ramdev also arrived at the Ram temple.

Senior BJP leader and renowned lawyer Ravi Shankar Prasad, who arrived in Ayodhya yesterday, reached the Ram temple ahead of the consecration.

In Bengaluru, several Hindu organisations have turned “Ram Mai” as it has been painted with saffron ahead of consecration.

Saffron festoons, saffron flags with the images of Lord Rama, Hanuman, Sita and Lakshmana and posters, have been adorned at every nook and corner of the city.

There was a huge turnout of devotees at Lord Rama and Hanuman temples, besides Lord Venkateshwara temples from the morning. Rendering of bhajans and ‘kirtans’ was organised at various places.

There were special prayers at Ramanjaneya Gudda temple, Pattabhirama Swamy Temple, Rama temple in Rajajinagar and Ramadevara Devasthana at Malleswaram and Rama temple in Basavanagudi.

These temples also organised grand ‘prasad’ distribution for the devotees.
