In the ‘Annual Threat Assessment’ report, submitted in the parliament of the USA, grave anticipations have been expressed, as far as the tense relations between India and its neighbouring countries are concerned. The American Intelligence has mentioned that India has always batted for negotiations and talks to solve these tensions, but for some years now, this approach has changed, as India is now moving forward with options of dealing with China and Pakistan militarily.

Now, new provocation from these neighbouring countries can force India to take military action on them. It has also been said in the report that it is possible that in the year 2023, India will have to fight with both Pakistan and China simultaneously. Every year, the USA prepares a report on the possible threats across the globe. The intel report further suggests that there are chances of the tensions between India and Pakistan to grow further, which can become the reason for a large-scale military action.

There has been a long history of anti-India terrorist organizations being supported by Pakistan, and the chances of India taking military action against Pakistan is more under PM Modi’s leadership. Pak-supported violence in Kashmir or a terrorist attack anywhere in India can become the flashpoint of a major military action. The report adds that even a small-scale struggle between these two nuclear powers can pose a threat to the whole world.

And in order to deal with these challenges, the USA wants an extension of its partnerships, as according to the report, after the 70s, this is the most-tense period between India and Pakistan. On the other hand, the report also suggests growing tensions between China and India as well. It has been said that India and China are resolving the border points through bilateral talks, but success cannot be seen in the same.
