India win 4th gold in Equestrian Team Dressage after 1982 Asiad

Hangzhou: India won a Gold medal in equestrian for the first time since 1982 at the Asian Games as their team topped the Team Dressage event with a total score of 209.205 here on Tuesday.

The winning Indian squad featured Anush Agarwalla, Hriday Vipul Chheda, Divyakriti Singh and Sudipti Hajela.

The 23-year-old Anush scored 71.088, the most points for India. This was India’s 4th Gold medal at the Asian Games.

Out of the four gold medals, three of them were won in 1982 Delhi Asiad. Raghubir Singh won the Individual Eventing Gold, while India won Team Eventing Rupinder Singh Brar won a Gold medal in individual tent pegging.

China and Hong Kong China settled for silver and bronze medals, respectively.
