NASA’s SpaceX Crew-5 to return to Earth on Saturday

Los Angeles: NASA’s SpaceX Crew-5 mission is scheduled to undock from the International Space Station (ISS) and return to Earth on Saturday, according to NASA.

The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft will undock from the ISS at 2:05 a.m. Saturday Eastern Time to begin the journey home.

The spacecraft is scheduled to splash down in the Atlantic Ocean or Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Florida at 9:02 p.m. Saturday, according to NASA.

The splashdown will wrap up a nearly six-month science mission for NASA astronauts Josh Cassada and Nicole Mann, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Koichi Wakata, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Anna Kikina.

The spacecraft also will return time-sensitive research to Earth, according to NASA.
