Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave a reward to 24 informers in a programme organised here on Thursday. The informers cooperated in action against mining mafias who steal revenue through illegal mining.
The CM gave Rs 10 thousand each to those who informed about trucks engaged in such activities and Rs 5 thousand to those who provided information about tractors.
The amount was transferred online to honour such warriors.
During the Mines and Geology Department Principal Secretary Narmadeshwar Lal apprised the Chief Minister about the latest activities of the Department and initiatives taken to check illegal sand mining.
