Protest seen across Aurangabad over min Patil’s statement

Aurangabad: Bhimsainiks of Aurangabad have become very aggressive against BJP Minister Chandrakant Patil, who said great men started educational institutions by begging.

Demonstrations were held at Kranti Chowk, Bhadkal Gate and the effigy of Patil was burnt. Black flags were displayed.

They statement was made to the police demanding that a case be registered against Patil under the Atrocity Act for the speech.

Swabhimani Marathwada Foundation at Bhadkal Gate. An effigy of Chandrakant Patal was burnt near the statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar led by Gautam Amrao.

Indian Dalit Panther led by leader Sanjay Jagtap and former corporator Gautam Kharat submitted memorundum to Citi chowk police inspector Ashok Giri demanded that Patil should step down from the post of minister and file a case.

Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi burnt Patil’s effigy in Osmanpura. At this time, loud slogans were raised.

District President Yogesh Ban, Prabhakar Buckley, Suresh Magare, Manoj Wahul led the agitation. This time the police took 13 protesters into custody and later released them.

Patil had come to perform Aarti at Sansthan Ganapati Temple in Rajabazar. When he came out after the aarti, the workers of the Samata Parishad showed him black flags. Police used force to disperse the activists and caught some activists and took them to City Chowk Police Station. They were released after two hours.

Officials of Bhimshakti met the Commissioner of Police and gave a statement and demanded to file a case against Patil .

Patil was also protested by displaying black flags in Trimurti Chowk. Women of Boudhanagar, Uttamnagar, Bhanudasnagar raised loud slogans.

Mupta Teachers Association protested at Kranti Chowk. Leader Prof. Sunil Magare led the movement. Dr. Sambhaji Waghmare, Dr. Bhaskar Tekale, Hemant Gaikwad, Prakash Waghmare, Amol Magare among others participated.
