Shooting: Swapnil Kusale earns India’s third Paris Olympics quota place

Kolhapur: City shooter Swapnil Kusale, who finished fourth in ISSF Shooting World Championships in men’s 50m Rifle 3 position event, has earned a 2024 Paris Olympic quota place for India.

Swapnil became third shooter to bag an Olympic quota after Bhowneesh Mendiratta (men’s trap) and Rudrankksh Patil ( 10m Air Rifle).

In the qualifying round on Saturday, Swapnil placed second place with 593 points and qualified for ranking round, where he finished fourth.

While Ukraine’s Sehi Mulish won gold medal and Tomas Bartok (Poland) and Jone Garment Heights(Niece) won silver and bronze respectively.
