Lucknow: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday claimed that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wins the Lok Sabha elections, not only will the reservation for Scheduled Castes and Tribes be abolished but Yogi Adityanath will be removed from the post of Uttar Pradesh CM.
In a joint press conference with Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav, the Delhi CM said, “If BJP wins the elections, Yogi Adityanath will be removed from the post of UP CM within two months.”
He claimed, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will attain the age of 75 years in September next year, will retire and Amit Shah will be the new Prime Minister of the country. Apart from this, reservation for SC and ST will be abolished by changing the Constitution.”
Kejriwal said, however, the chances of victory of the BJP alliance are slim. “The condition of BJP is very bad in many states including Punjab, Haryana, UP and it does not seem to be getting more than 220 seats,” he said.
He said that Prime Minister Modi will turn 75 next year and he is confident that he will assimilate the rule made by him in which people above 75 years of age are removed from any post in the party or government. “He himself will resign from the post of PM and in his place Amit Shah will be given the post of Prime Minister,” he said.
The AAP convener said that Yogi Adityanath can become an obstacle in the path of Amit Shah, therefore he will be removed from the post of UP CM within two to three months. “The PM is not seeking votes for himself, but for Amit Shah. The PM has decided to make Amit Shah his heir,” he said.
He claimed, “The PM has been working on this for the last one to two years. All the leaders in BJP who can create obstacles in the path of Amit Shah have been sidelined one by one. Shivraj Singh Chouhan was removed, Vasundra Raje was removed and Dr Raman Singh was also removed. There is only one person left, who can become a thorn in the path of Amit Shah and that is Yogi Adityanath,” he claimed.
Kejriwal claimed, “Now they have made up their mind to remove Yogi Adityanath. And if they form the government Yogi will also be removed from the post of UP CM within two months. When I raised the issue in Delhi around three-four days back, then many leaders of BJP, including Amit Shah, expressed their feelings and had said that PM Modi should not retire at the age of 75 years and will complete his term, but the big thing is that PM Modi never said that he will not retire at the age of 75 years or he will resign,” he said.
He said, “I am hopeful that PM Modi will follow the self-made rule, otherwise people will say that he made the rule to remove LK Advani. The people of the country are confident that PM Modi will follow his rule. The second thing is that when I said that Yogi will be removed none of the BJP leaders reacted to it so far.”
He said that if BJP comes to power at the Centre with more than 400 seats even by mistake, then reservation for SC, ST and OBC will be abolished. He himself came to know about this from BJP sources.
Kejriwal said, “BJP’s mother organisation Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has been against reservation from the beginning.”
He said that there is a lot of anger among the people regarding the policies of BJP and that is why this time a coalition government is going to be formed instead of BJP’s.
