Despite an era of layoffs going on across the globe, 7 out of every 10 professionals in India are confident that they will not lose their jobs this year. It is noteworthy that among people with different experiences, the confidence of continuing with their jobs is different as well. As per a report issued by Ed-tech platform, Great Learning, on Monday, 83% of the Indian professionals, who have an experience of 6 years or more, under the current macro-economic circumstances, are confident of not losing their jobs.

63% of the professionals, from freshers to those having an experience of up to 6 years are confident about the same.

Awareness regarding skill-development is increasing among Indian professionals, and in tier-2 cities like Mysuru, Indore, and Vijayawada, professionals have higher interest in skill-development. While 79% of the professionals wanted to get involved in up-skilling in 2022, this year, this number has gone up to 83%. In the meanwhile, women’s interest in up-skilling is very low. 11.3% women with an experience of more than 8 years, and 38.4% women with an experience of less than 8 years have shown interest in up-skilling.
