Uganda is absolutely safe, woos investors : Minister Henry Okello

Chennai: Uganda Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in charge of International Affairs Henry Okello today said his country was absolutely sage and invited investors from Tamil Nadu to invest in Uganda.

Talking to reporters, he invited the IT companies, Oil Refineries and agriculture specialists to invest in Uganda. He said Uganda is a peaceful, pleasant and profitable country. It has had a very stable government for the last 35 years, a very favorable investment climate and good economic policies.

Uganda with other East African Nations have embarked upon a massive infrastructure improvement program, who is on an official visit to the city to promote business opportunities between the two countries, said. Henry Oryem Okello said the Uganda government will give all clearances to Indian businesses within 48 hours.

He also assured a 10 year tax free holiday with the land being awarded for free for setting up any factory, institution etc. He is scheduled to meet Tamil Nadu Chief M K Stalin, to invite him for the 100 year celebration of the Indian Association Uganda Business on September 29 and 30 in Munyonyo Resort, Kampala.
